You can find out at the sixth annual Kentucky's Fort Harrod Beef Festival to be held May 31 - June 1, 2013, at the Mercer County Fairgrounds in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. On Friday May 31 at 5:00 PM, the festival will begin with live entertainment, vending booths (both food & crafts), set up of the Grill-Off teams, a Wine & Cheese Tasting, pageants and numerous other activities at the Mercer County Fairgrounds. On Saturday June 1, the signature event, a Beef "Grill-Off", kicks into high gear. The teams will compete to produce the best brisket, steak, ribs and backyard burger with all meat coming from Critchfield's of Lexington. There will also be a youth backyard burger and steak category for those ages 9-17. Judges will determine the winners in the professional, amateur and youth divisions. A "People's Choice" and "Best of Show" awards will also be presented. The cost is only $6.00 per person to sample all the wares and vote for the best griller.
