Crescent Hill Community Council
The Crescent Hill Community Council (CHCC) promotes the interests and serves the residents of Crescent Hill. The big fund-raising event is the Old-Fashioned 4th of July Picnic and Fireworks which will celebrate its 25th year on July 4, 2008.
The CHCC works closely with Louisville Metro Government, works to support the local merchants through the Frankfort Avenue Business Association, offers community events for residents to meet each other, supports Block Watch programs, has many committees including Helping Hands, a social outreach program, a Welcome Committee, social event committee and more.
The funds from the 4th of July event are used for community projects. In the past we have purchased a reader for the visually-impaired to use at the local branch library, helped fund a field trip for a neighborhood elementary school, helped pay for a new sign at the local middle school, have given donations to the United Crescent Hill Ministries.
Our official website is www.crescenthill.us and we also maintain a website on the national Neighborhood Link at http://www.neighborhoodlink.com/louisville/crescent/
